Multiply Anything, Repeat Anything
Type two numbers and read the product, or type a phrase and get a hundred copies of it. Both tools run inside the page, both hand you plain text, and neither one asks you for anything first.
100 × 100 = 10,000
Adding 100 to itself 100 times gives the same answer.
Repeat it 100, 1000 or 10,000 times
Type something above, then pick a count.

The calculator, and the working under it
It opens seeded at 100 x 100 = 10000. Change either box and the answer changes with it. Under the answer every page spells out why that answer is right, in the way you would say it out loud rather than as a column sum: two zeros plus two zeros is four zeros, or ten times a number plus half of it again for the fifteens.
The answers people look up most
- 100 x 100 = 10000, the square of a hundred and the size of one hectare in square metres.
- 20 x 100 = 2000, and not to be confused with 20 percent of 100, which is 20.
- 100 x 10 = 1000, the number behind every kilo in the metric system.
- 1000 x 1000 = 1000000, one million, and one megapixel.
- 100 x 15 = 1500, which is 1000 plus half of 1000.
Another 84 calculations sit behind multiplication answers, including the decimal ones where counting zeros stops working.
The repeater
The second tool takes a line of text and prints it 100, 1000 or 10000 times, one copy per line, with a copy button and a .txt download for the blocks too big to select by hand. Repeat any text holds the tool plus the phrases people ask for already built, from i love you down to a single dot.
They are the same sum
A ten-character line copied 100 times, each on its own line, is 1099 characters. That is 100 x 10 for the text plus 99 line breaks. The repeater is multiplication you can paste, which is why both tools live on one small site instead of two.
